We’re proud to have been part of the CEER Project at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Jeddah — Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle spare parts manufacturing factory.
CEER is the Kingdom’s first electric vehicle brand, created under Vision 2030 to support local manufacturing, new industries, and more sustainable transport. The new CEER facility at KAEC is being built as a modern hub for electric vehicle components and spare parts, helping grow a local supply chain and create skilled jobs.
The factory itself is a purpose-built, modern facility designed to international automotive standards. It will support electric vehicle production, maintenance, and aftermarket supply across Saudi Arabia and the wider region, and is a key step in building a future-focused automotive industry in the Kingdom.
WJ was appointed to supply temporary pumps, filter vessels, and storage tanks, and to supervise the pre-commissioning works for the district cooling system serving the factory. During pre-commissioning, water was pumped through the main chiller pipelines at high velocity to remove dirt and debris before the permanent pumps were started. This protects the main equipment and helps the system run more efficiently. Filter bags were used to catch debris and were replaced as they filled, with the process repeated until the system was clean. Water quality was checked on site and by independent laboratories to meet the Client’s requirements.
Our team worked closely with the client and the main contractor to deliver a practical, reliable solution. The works were completed safely, on time, and in line with the project requirements. The finished system now supports efficient operation, lower energy use, and long-term reliability.
